History

Hay Fell has been operating for over six years and in that time has worked on a diverse range of woodland related projects and been providing garden and ground maintenance to a wide range of clients.

We understand the importance of delivering a quality service and developing relationships and how these two factors are a benefit in the success of projects. This combined with our extensive practical experience enables clients to have confidence in their goals being accomplished.

Meet the Team

Matt, BA (hons) AMICFor

Director

Matt has a range of forestry experience having worked in a variety of roles which include working as a independent sub-contractor, an estate team supervisor and a contract’s manager for an environmental & forestry consultancy. These experiences have provided him with an appreciation of a client’s needs and a wealth of experience in relation to safely and efficiently delivering projects.

He has a love of the Lake District and the surrounding area and is passionate about forestry and landscapes. When he is not at work Matt enjoys running on the fells and participating in Lakeland Fell races.

Mark, Cert Arb

Supervisor

Mark has been with Hay Fell since 2014 and helped to develop it to what it is today. In this time due to his enthusiasm for forestry he has gained his Cert Arb qualification, which combined with his practical experiences provide him with a comprehensive understanding of how to successfully deliver operational tasks.

He has a passion for being in the outdoors and caring for landscapes, when he is not at work he enjoys rock climbing out in the Lakeland fells.

Jenny, BSc (hons), Forest School Practitioner. ML leader

Marketing/HR

Jenny has a passion for the outdoors which lead her to becoming an outdoor instructor and Forest Schools Practitioner which fuelled her enthusiasm to be involved in caring for the environment as a tree planter.

Jenny spends her life outdoors and enjoys fell running and climbing.
